We are looking for a small working group who would like to help one Saturday morning in April weeding the new hedges that were planted last year up at the Pavilion. They need de-brambling and a small tidy up before the summer months so that they have the best chance of growing. If you would like to help out please let us know your availability for the below dates by emailing the Clerk:
- Saturday 10th April
- Saturday 17th April
- Saturday 24th April
The next Parish Council meeting will be taking place virtually this evening, Wednesday 31st March at 7.30pm. You can view the agenda on the village website: https://ashburnham-penhurst.net/parish-council/meetings/
If you would like to attend, please contact the Clerk and he will send you a link to join us.
As many people may remember, last year the verges in our villages were cut at a time when many wildflowers were blooming. The Parish Council are working to designate certain areas as wildflower verges so that they receive different cutting regimes to best protect and enhance their biodiversity. Before we can establish the most appropriate areas to designate, we are interested in understanding what wildflowers currently exist in the villages and whereabouts. Please see the below poster if you are interested in helping us:
