We are a friendly group from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Our programme covers a broad variety of topics and allows plenty of time for catching up with old friends and making new ones.
If you are new to the area and would like to meet your neighbours or just fancy coming along to see what the WI is all about, we would be pleased to welcome you.

BEXHILL FOOD BANK
Ashburnham and Penhurst WI delivered a staggering 114kg of food to Bexhill Food bank last week, just in time for the influx of people this local food bank will be helping in the run up to and throughout the Christmas period.
We decided this year not to run a Christmas fundraising event, instead asking all its members to go shopping and add a few more items to their trolleys for this worthy cause. It was quite something, when at our last meeting, not only did the members arrive but so did boxes and boxes of tins, packets, jars and even Christmas crackers, puddings and mince pies. The WI also generously handed over a £500 cheque, which will go towards perishable food such as bread and milk.
Its quite something to see, the tiny little rooms of the foodbank stacked to the rafters with tins, all of which will get given out to those in need. each person will get given around 10.5kg of food so even though we donated so much, ther reality that our donation will only supply 10 people, shows just how much the food bank really does need donations and support more than ever.
