Our villages lie within a designated dark skies area as part of the High Weald AONB that has been identified as worthy of conservation by the International Dark Sky Association. This means we have one of the best views of the night sky in the South East!
In 2016 the South Downs National Park became a new Dark Skies Reserve and starting tomorrow, they are holding a virtual Dark Skies Festival up until 28 February. There is loads of information and activities for all ages – including short films, live talks about our skies and solar systems, and top tips on how to get the most out of at-home stargazing.
