The story begins in Ashburnham Church, then guided by lantern bearers, we will venture out into the gardens to join Mary and Joseph as they journey to Bethlehem. On the way we will meet the Inn Keeper, Herod, Wise Men and Shepherds and follow the start to the stable where will find the baby Jesus lying in a manger.
We will be accompanied by Ashburnham Place Community Choir.
Children, (and possibly festive adults) may like to dress as their favourite character from the story! Afterwards, refreshments will be served in the Oak Dining Room at Ashburnham Place.
