Come with all the family to not only watch The Bell Orchestra, but to participate too in making music on a set of giant chimes. Starting at 7.30 pm, the players will demonstrate their music making skills and invite you to participate. There will be a bar in the marquee so come along to what promises to be a great community event.

We’re delighted that the Ashburnham and Penhurst Flower Show and Country Fair is back on this year after a two year gap, we have all the usual attractions and some new stalls and games too so come along. Entries to the Flower Show are welcome, click on the tab above for all the information you need. Watch this space for details of the evening entertainment too and how you can get your free ticket.
The Royal Scarecrows are in place! If anyone wants to see them in the flesh then you’ll need to travel along Church Road from the Pound where you’ll see a lovely Queen outside the Woodyard Forest School, Olivia the Sea Queen outside Lodging Houses and further up, Busy Lizzie outside RedBarn Thatch. If you head back and turn down the lane at Ponts Green you’ll find Prince Charles waiting for you. Lastly, head back out onto Church Road and turn off to Penhurst just past the Chapel and drive round to Little Sprays Oast for elegant Juli Bee holding up some festive bunting!

We are planning a weekend of fun and entertainment to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend. Enter the Royal Scarecrow Competition from Thursday 2nd. Come along to PANTS performance of A Platinum Palaver on Friday 3rd. Barn dance the night away with the Steamers Quartet on Saturday 4th. Join Ashburnham Church for an All Age Service on the morning of Sunday 5th and bring your picnic along on Sunday lunchtime for a village lunch and afternoon of games.
