A big thank you to everyone who helped with the recent Macmillan Coffee Morning which raised a fantastic £787.11 and the Harvest Supper which raised £357 for RABI! Both events were a real credit to our community and enjoyed by all who went along.
About Jay Ashworth
Posts by Jay Ashworth:
To commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War we are trying to put together some information about each of the men named on our War Memorial, who were killed in action. We want to find out things such as where they lived, what work they were doing and details about their families. This will form the basis of an exhibition in the Sports Pavilion for the Remembrance Service. If anyone has any artefacts or photos that might help, please get in touch with Jay – firstname.lastname@example.org A full list of names is in the September Parish Magazine which you can access from the website home page.
We are delighted to announce that the villages’ bid to the Big Lottery Fund for £9,566 has been successful! The money will fund essential work to improve access to the sports field which is a condition of the planning approval for the new village hall. Watch this space for more news about the work which should start in early summer.
