Lots of scarecrows are appearing around the villages! All those entered in the competition will be in place by Friday and will be up for the following week. Head to the Scarecrow Competition page on Saturday for a list of locations! Judging will take place over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who has got involved!

Please note that most Village events, meetings and Church services (apart from the Parish Council Meeting on Friday 20th) have been cancelled following Government advice. The Parish Magazine for April will be out next week and will have further information. We will also aim to keep this site updated as things progress.
We have postponed the bonfire and fireworks, due to take place this Friday 8th November as the field is so waterlogged due to the recent heavy rains. We are trying to find an alternative date so watch this space!

Oxney Vines Cross Ladies Tug of War Team have had such a successful first 8 months that they are representing England in the 560kg ladies class at the UK Championships in Northern Ireland! We congratulate the team, which includes our WI President, and wish them luck in the Championships! Head to this page hear about the team and their fund-raising goal!
Some hardy villagers will be up at the New Village Hall site on Saturday 16th March, they are planting some native hedging around the perimeter which will look good as it grows up as well as being fantastic for wildlife. They will also tackle a few of the young trees that are growing up and are in danger of crowding out some of the amazing views that make the site so attractive to villagers and visitors alike.
The monthly quiz at the Ash is on Tuesday 12th this month, not 5th. See you there!
Residents aged 4-83 joined us on Saturday 23rd February to litter pick around the villages. We collected a frighteningly large amount of rubbish and hope that our lanes look a bit cleaner than before! Well done to everyone who organised it and all those who turned up to help. Watch this space for details of the next date for litter picking.
