Come and have a go at Short Mat Bowls from 7pm on January 26th at the Village Hall.

The Ponts Green half of Farthing Lane is likely to be closed until May following the collapse of the bridge in November.  The other half is nigh impassable in freezing weather due to water running down the road.  Louke Van Der Meer is clearing the  ice with a tractor in the morning so that parents can take children to the school bus.  What a hero!

Please note that the usual dates for Short Mat Bowls in December have been cancelled, it will now take place on Friday 15th December at the usual time of 2pm – 4pm in the Village Hall. Back to 2nd and 4th Fridays in January

We have made the difficult decision to cancel the planned bonfire and fireworks due to take place this Friday, 10th November due to the waterlogged field. We are sorry about this but don’t want to risk cars getting stuck!

The second Ashburnham Arts event is taking place on Saturday 21st October. Do put the date in your diary and come and see the creativity and skill that abounds in our villages! The weather stayed dry for the Fair on Saturday 29th July. Huge thanks to all who helped and everyone who came along on the day. A total of £6,317 was raised from the Fair and Vintage Motorcycle Show, £4,737 for the New Village Hall Fund and £1,579 for the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance.

This Saturday! Come up to the Sports Field in Ashburnham from 1.30pm and enjoy all the attractions, stalls and refreshments on offer! We look forward to seeing you!
